Had enough of studying? Need some relaxation? Then we have just the thing for you, because in Rotterdam there are great things to do just about every day, and they are often free as well.

ZomerZondagen [Summer Sundays]

When? 12, 19 and 26 June from 14:00 to 18:00 hours
Where? The Park at the Euromast
What is there to do? Take a blanket and picnic basket to the Park and enjoy music, theatre, cabaret or creative workshops. Watching is free, participating is often free as well.

De Parade

When? 23 June to 3 July from 15:00 to 01:00 hours
Where? Museumpark
What is there to do? At the theatre festival De Parade, you can watch short performances, but also enjoy delicious food and drink in the sun or take a spin in the whirligig. Admission is free until 16:00, and 7.50 euros afterwards.

What is there to do? Listen to bands for free. Big names like at Lowlands as well as much undiscovered talent that will make you go “oh yeah, I saw them at Metropolis back in 2016” in the future.

Wednesday Night Skate

When? 6, 13, 20, 27 July and 3 August at 19.30 hours
Where? Depart from Stadhuisplein
What is there to do? Do a fantastic circuit of Rotterdam with a big group on skates. Streets will be closed so that you can skate freely over the Maasboulevard. Participation is free.

What is there to do? Rotterdam will be celebrating its diversity for five days with the swinging Battle of Drums (29 July) and the Zomercarnaval [Summer Carnival] parade of floats (30 July) as the main highlights.
